Lange Tactical Consulting is a Mission Viejo–based firearms retailer, ammunition vendor, training provider, and education resource serving gun owners across Orange County and throughout California.

We exist because California is one of the most complex firearms environments in the country — and most gun owners are left to piece together the rules from sheriff's office PDFs, forum threads, and outdated blog posts. We do three things to fix that.

Retail

As a Federal Firearms Licensee, California Firearms Dealer, and licensed California Ammunition Vendor, we stock and transfer firearms, ammunition, optics, holsters, apparel, and accessories, with an emphasis on California-compliant products and honest recommendations over upselling.

 Training

Our founder is a California Department of Justice Certified Firearms Safety Instructor. We offer firearm safety courses and introductory classes in-house, and we partner with a network of vetted instructors for advanced coursework, defensive pistol, and specialty training.

 Awareness

Our Resources section is a growing library of educational material on California concealed carry law, safe storage, and the Second Amendment — updated as the law evolves.

About the founder

Lange Tactical Consulting was founded by an individual who holds a Juris Doctor (JD) and brings that legal training to how we approach firearms education. The JD is not active practice — we are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice — but the background shapes how carefully we read statutes, track court decisions, and explain what they actually mean for California gun owners. On top of the legal education, the founder is a California DOJ Certified Firearms Safety Instructor, a licensed FFL, a California Firearms Dealer, and a licensed California Ammunition Vendor.
